Ruth is an associate in our healthcare team based in our Liverpool office.
Ruth has worked in clinical negligence since 2013 and has worked defending clinical negligence claims brought against NHS trusts and GPs since 2018.
Ruth has experience of working on a wide variety of clinical negligence claims including orthopaedic injuries, delays in diagnosing cancer, incorrectly reported cervical screening results and cases involving a failure to obtain informed consent. Ruth also assists partners on high-value, complex cases and is currently one of the fee earners involved in a large group claim against an NHS Trust.
Ruth has also undertaken a long-term, full-time secondment at NHS Resolution, allowing an invaluable insight into an important Weightmans client.
Ruth is a member of the Merseyside Women Lawyers Division and plays an active role on the committee, organising events and networking opportunities for local lawyers.
Outside of work, Ruth is a season ticket holder at Everton Football Club and enjoys spending time with her two young children.
